Systems Architect
Systems architects are a combination of both technological specialists and management leaders. They often work with a multi-disciplinary team of experts to virtualize computer systems and create digital services or products that answer a specific function. Systems architects oversee the big picture of a project and specify the organization and behavior of a virtual framework to meet clients' requirements.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing the overall design for steps to meet requirements of investors/owners.
- Defining the systems requirements for an entire organization or venture.
- Performing cost analyses and providing cost effective solutions.
- Identifying operational limitations and creating custom solutions.
- Incorporating guidelines, policies, and laws into solutions for success.
- Regularly maintaining the IT systems across multiple locations.
- Fixing systems issues by performing damage control analysis and providing contingency plans for success.
- Identifying new solutions and system upgrades.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to apply scientific reasoning and methodological precision to problem solve, adjust and build digital systems.
- They use their analytical skills to investigate the root of a technological issue or need for improvement to find an adapted solution.
- Their conceptualization skills allow them to engage in abstract thinking and logical reasoning to then quickly adapt and evaluate a concept accurately.
- Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, information management systems or computer engineering.
- Must have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role.
