BorgWarner aspiration for Krakow is to become a major technological center with 250 employees by 2026.Products and solutions range from existing portfolio , but go far beyond and will include NPIs as well as applications projects.Job purposeAs a System Development Engineer, you will lead a feature development of power electronics inverter to ensure solutions meet stakeholder, performance, and regulatory requirementsJob DescriptionKey responsibilitiesLead technical development for the system feature with cross-functional development teams, component leads and customers.Negotiate the technical requirements, scope and subcontract deliverables for the system feature.Use knowledge to drive and disseminate system level requirements and architectural proposals.Use knowledge to ensure designs meet requirements and test quality and coverage are ensured.Drive engineering competencies, suppliers, and partners to ensure commitment to internal quality processes during the development, execution and verification.Lead the technical analysis, trade off studies, support FMEAs, design reviews and customer presentations for the defined features.Be a single point of reference for related change requests and issue investigations.Work closely with the SW, HW and Testing team to drive the implementation and verification for the defined features.Support the definition and continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, methods, and toolsDocument and share best-practicesMentor less experienced engineers; role model for BW BeliefsWhat we’re looking forMasters or Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or similarExperience in related engineering field applying Systems Engineering principles throughout the product life cycle in one or more of the following areas:Automotive electronics systems development, especially in the areas of sensors and actuatorsPower electronics, especially motor drive invertersExcellent analytical and problem solving skillsKnowledge of requirements elicitation, analysis, definition, and management and experience with requirement management tools (e.g. Polarion) and process models like A-SPICE.Knowledge of embedded software and / or hardware development.Knowledge of System modeling in SysML and / or MatLab Simulink is a benefit Organized and structured work-style and attention to detail.Fluency in English is required.
