PJ Networks is a successful and established managed technology services provider seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to provide support for clients in Albemarle, Greene, and surrounding Counties. The ideal candidate will be responsible for  installing, supporting, and maintaining our clients' business networks, including network security for hardware and software.
 Field Engineers are assigned a portfolio of clients and work closely with our RMM and help desk staff to ensure that our clients receive award-winning service. Candidates should not only enjoy technical problem solving, but also working with clients to improve their technical operations and ultimately their business success.  
 Network Engineers at PJ Networks are responsible for maintaining great relationships with our clients; good client management skills and and a positive attitude are a must.  Engineers are allowed to work with a high degree of autonomy and primarily manage their daily workflow and project schedules.

 Required/ Work Experience
 

• Minimum of 5 years as a Systems Engineer or Network Administrator, or 3 years working for a Managed Services Provider
• Previous consulting or MSP experience is highly desirable
• Outstanding client management and communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of Windows Server operating systems with current Microsoft certifications or willingness to commit to obtaining one or more certification within one year of hire
• Experience with desktop/laptop computer support, including familiarity with all versions of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11
• Experience administering and troubleshooting Microsoft 365 tenants and services, and all supported versions of Microsoft Office, including Office 365
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls and switches, including setup of VLANs, NAT rules, VPN tunnels, etc.
• Experience with data backup and disaster recovery software
• Experience with Microsoft Azure, VMWare, Linux, VOIP phone systems, and Cisco hardware is a plus, but not required.

A positive attitude, good communication skills and a team mentality are absolutely required. Candidate must be willing to commute to and from client sites (and have own, dependable transportation), as well as occasionally work after hours or weekends, as necessary.  The average work week is 40-45 hours.   A Company-provided vehicle will be an option after a 90-day probationary period.
