Sarela Technology Solutions, LLC is seeking Intermediate and Senior Systems Engineers to support a major Department of Defense (DoD) program focused on enterprise-wide IT modernization. You will work on large-scale cloud migrations, infrastructure automation, and operations in support of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) global mission.

You’ll engineer, deploy, and maintain cloud-based Windows and Linux environments (primarily in Azure), while developing automations and supporting critical infrastructure that enables both test and production operations.

Key Responsibilities (All Levels):

• Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers in Azure

• Build and maintain automation for system provisioning, patching, and updates (Ansible, Red Hat Satellite)

• Troubleshoot complex issues across multiple systems and environments

• Package and deploy applications using CI/CD tools (Jira, Jenkins, Ansible)

• Maintain and update SOPs, technical documentation, and RCA reports

• Conduct system patching and security vulnerability remediation

• Collaborate with cross-functional sprint teams and stakeholder groups

• Support a mix of operational and test environments, both CONUS and OCONUS

Additional Responsibilities (Senior Level):

• Lead technical problem-solving and analyze recurring issues to drive long-term solutions

• Tune and optimize infrastructure performance across cloud and hybrid systems

• Design and scale complex infrastructure architectures (Web/App/Data tiers)

• Drive innovation and automation across multiple environments using DevOps/CI/CD toolsets

• Provide expert-level guidance and Tier 4 technical consulting

• Serve as a mentor or SME to other engineers

Qualifications – Senior Level:

• Bachelor’s degree + 12–15 years' experience, or Master’s + 10–13 years (additional experience may substitute for degree)

• Proven leadership in deploying and scaling Azure environments using Infrastructure as Code

• Deep expertise with DevOps/CI/CD tools including Azure Blueprints, Ansible Automation Platform, and Azure Functions

• Experience optimizing large-scale infrastructure and mentoring engineering teams

• Recognized cloud certification required (e.g., AWS, Azure Solutions Architect)

Qualifications – Intermediate Level:

• Bachelor’s degree + 8–12 years' experience, or Master’s + 6–10 years (additional experience may substitute for degree)

• Strong experience with Ansible, Red Hat Satellite, and Azure IaaS

• Working knowledge of Azure Virtual Desktop and Azure Functions

• Solid grasp of networking (TCP/IP, VPNs, SSH, routing, firewalls)

• Hands-on experience troubleshooting system logs and events

• Experience with Jira, Jenkins, Confluence, and SOP documentation

• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP)

• Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect)
