McIntire Solutions seeks to invite a Systems Engineer with 10 years of experience to join our team in Northern Virginia. This role will support the engineering, integration, and future architecture support for our client in Chantilly Virginia. Teammates interested in this role must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
Responsibilities
· Support the full lifecycle development of system capabilities from the identification of requirements through the deployment of capabilities incorporating SE&I IT best practices, to include the tailoring of the "V" System engineering model and managing agile software development efforts.
· Analyze user requirements, CONOPS and high-level system architectures to derive, develop and decompose system-level specifications.
· Conduct trade studies, to determine possible system (hardware, software, architecture) and capability improvements.
· Defines and analyzes architecture to establish operating conditions, conducts tests, define and analyze engineering proposals and related technical data to determine feasibility of developing new capabilities and/or modifying existing capabilities.
· Develop technical documentation, including CONOPS, user guides, test plans, and other CDRL items.
· Identify and evaluate the customer’s architecture and Technology Roadmaps, providing technical guidance associated with the development of architecture and engineering teams including working with CAMEO, sysML and Unified Architecture Frameworks.
· Assist in the development and maintenance of the enterprise Technology Roadmap and align future system concepts to the customer’s strategic plan.
· Define and document data standards, data structures, and supporting COTS, GOTS, and Open Source technologies required to manage the data needs.
· Collaborate with Government Project Managers, Developers, and end user customers.
· Strong understanding of the IPBS budget cycle.
Required Qualifications
· Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Services, Computer Science, or related disciplines. (Required STEM degree)
· Minimum of ten (10) years of systems engineering experience using waterfall, agile, and/or hybrid system development methodologies.
· Current or recent experience directly supporting the Chantilly client.
· Demonstrated system engineering and integration best-practices - identifying, analyzing, defining, and coordinating user, customer, and stakeholder needs and translating them into technical or operational requirements for the research, development, production, and/or procurement of processes, systems, and/or services.
· Outstanding interpersonal and management consulting service skills, including the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
· Ability to work with senior officials, to build and sustain professional networks in a diverse, fast-paced, multi-task environment, and to manage competing priorities.
· Proactive in developing innovative ideas and in communicating them effectively to Government staff.
Desired Qualifications
· Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Engineering, Information Technology, Information Services, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
· INCOSE ASEP, CSEP, ESEP and/or Enterprise Architecture Certifications.
· PMI Management Institute (CAPM, PMP etc.)
