Unspecified Overview:In this role the candidate is required to perform end-to-end Systems engineering activities in compliance with SAE ARP-4754A for various Interiors System products of Collins aerospace. This includes but not limited to support Systems plan generation as per SAE ARP4754A, complete requirements definition and management, requirements analysis, requirements validation, system architecture design, modeling and simulation analysis, system integration, system verification, qualification and certification, and implementation of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE). The candidate is expected to work with multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate the technical efforts towards realizing product development project goals.Primary Responsibilities:·Technical coordination with the multi-disciplinary team involving electrical, mechanical, materials, hardware and software engineers·Drive systems engineering activities and conduct SE process audits under the rigor of ARP 4754A guidelines·Elicit and manage requirements from OEM/Airline Customers, Airworthiness regulations (FAA, EASA) and Industry Standards (SAE, MIL-STD, RTCA, etc.)·Conduct complete Requirements Management - Requirements elicitation (writing), derivation, decomposition, traceability, validation and verification using tools like DOORS, Polarion, JAMA/JIRA etc.·Allocation of requirements to Components, Materials, Hardware, Software, Processes, etc.·Implementation of Model-based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with tools like MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, CAMEO, NoMagic, etc. for model design & development, simulation and model-based validation & verifications.·Safety analysis of the system architecture and definition of safety requirements as per SAE ARP-4761.·Development of preliminary Hardware and Software requirements as per DO-254 and DO-178 supporting Hardware and Software development & qualifications respectively.·Preparation of system verification approach, verification cases and verification procedures, and support Component, Materials, Hardware and Software Verification activities·System qualification planning and technical coordination with cross functional teams, subject matter experts and chief engineers·Estimate, track, own and report project technical, cost and schedule aspects for Systems Engineering scope of work.·Lead and Participate Design Reviews with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and customers·Drive for continuous growth for the self and the associated team members. Coaching and mentoring to develop successors.Required experience and skills·B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech. degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical, Mechatronics/Electronics/Electrical Engineering·5-10 years of relevant industry experience with at least 5 years as a Systems Engineer in system requirements management, system verification and validation, System modelling & simulation, MBSE implementation (using MATLAB/Simulink, SysML, CAMEO, NoMagic or Rhapsody) for aerospace systems·Experience in Development and Certification of Electromechanical or Electronics/Electrical Systems·Work experience with ARP 4754, ARP-4761, DO-160 / MIL-STD-810 and familiarity with DO-254 and DO-178 Certification standards.·Knowledge on reliability and safety assessments and analyses using ARP-4761·Experience in leading requirements management activities (requirement elicitation, allocation, validation, decomposition, derivation, verification, change management)·Expert in Requirements Writing skills (System, Component, Materials, Hardware & Software)· Working experience with requirement management tools like DOORS, JAMA, Polarion ALM·Knowledge on Airworthiness Regulations (FAA, EASA) and experience in extracting system applicable requirements from regulations and industrial standards·Experience with MBSE concepts/tools is highly desired - MATALB/Simulink, SysML, CAMEO, NoMagic, Rational Rhapsody, etc.·Experience in Model-in-Loop (MIL) and Hardware-in-Lopp (HIL) testing activities·Ability to perform / lead design reviews, non-advocate reviews and project reviews·Experience in planning schedules and estimations for Systems Engineering activities·Working knowledge on Electromechanical/ Electrohydraulic, Control systems and Software Systems·Strong communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical capabilities.Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company, is a leader in technologically advanced and intelligent solutions for the global aerospace and defense industry.
