Team Leader Engineering

Job DescriptionAs a valued member of our engineering team, you will be based in our Malaysia office, leading a team of dedicated engineers in providing engineering design and calculation support to large-scale and/or infrastructure projects across the Middle East Africa & Asia Pacific (MEAAP) regions.If you are passionate about your work, have an inner drive to succeed and a desire to learn and grow from your experience, this could be the perfect next challenge for you.Reporting to the Head of Engineering EAP, this role requires an enthusiastic individual well-versed in the formwork and scaffolding industry. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead a team, independently manage formwork design planning, and provide valuable support to the sales team during proposal and pitching. Your extensive experience in formwork design, particularly in large scale and/or infrastructure projects, will be a key asset in ensuring success in this position.Key Responsibilities:Leading the engineering team for multiple large-scale and/or infrastructure projectsMotivating the team and implementing economical and practical formwork solutions to meet team and company objectivesConducting advanced static calculationsProducing and/or approving material lists, offers, and/or shop drawingsSupervising project deadlines and/or milestonesAssisting the sales team in MEAAP countries with client presentations or project site supportAdvising formwork instructors with regard to technical problems/issues that arise on siteProviding strong leadership and actively promoting engineering trainings and development for engineering staffCoordinating the availability of engineering staff with the Head of Engineering EAPEnsuring adherence to company policies, procedures, programs, compliance, and standards of performanceMonitoring adherence to contractual guidelinesQualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplinesMinimum of ten years of experience in formwork, particularly with international formwork systemsProfessional experience in large-scale infrastructure projects, and familiarity with Doka formwork systems is highly advantageousProficient in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Inventor, Estab) and project management toolsStrong analytical skills and technical proficiency in the formwork industry, with a focus on the Asia Pacific regionEffective communicator, capable of liaising with multiple stakeholdersStrong leadership skills with a team-oriented work approachWillingness to travel and be mobileJob Location
