Technical Architect\n\nWe're seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join a major government digital transformation programme delivering critical public services. You'll play a key role in designing and implementing modern, user-centered digital solutions that impact millions of across the UK.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead the technical architecture of large-scale digital services, ensuring they meet government security standards and accessibility requirements\nDesign resilient, scalable solutions using modern cloud technologies and microservices architecture\nCollaborate with multiple delivery teams to ensure technical consistency and alignment with strategic goals\nProvide technical leadership and guidance on best practices, patterns, and technologies\nWork within government technical standards including the Technology Code of Practice and Service Standard\nEvaluate and recommend appropriate technology choices that balance innovation with reliability\nEnsure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirementsEssential Experience:\n\nProven experience as a Technical Architect in large-scale digital transformation projects\nStrong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), microservices, and API design\nExperience with government security classifications and NCSC guidelines\nTrack record of delivering highly available, secure, and accessible digital services\nUnderstanding of DevOps practices and continuous delivery principles\nExperience working in agile environments and with distributed delivery teamsTechnical Skills:\n\nModern development frameworks and \nCloud infrastructure and platform services\nAPI design and integration patterns\nIdentity and access management\nSecurity architecture and threat modeling\nPerformance optimization and monitoring\nMicroservices architecture patterns
