8.30-4.30 Monday – Friday, 1 hour lunch

Are you an experienced Controls Engineer looking to make a move away from being on the tools?



Are you good with numbers?



We have a rare opportunity for someone with a good technical understanding of Control Systems to join our client on a full time, permanent basis as their Technical Estimator, preparing quotations for various sized jobs.



This role is ideal for an ex-Controls Engineer with experience with generator automation commissioning and good knowledge of deep-sea generator controls and SCADA systems, looking to come off the tools.



Duties include:



Using technical expertise to generate accurate quotations



Using Excel daily to generate pricing



Working collaboratively with various stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and lead times



Reviewing technical drawings



Visiting customer sites to ensure full understanding of the site  



Document management



Following up quotes and tenders



Organising training



The successful candidate will have / be:



Strong technical understanding of control systems and schematics



Allen Bradley PLC and SCADA knowledge



ComAp, deep-sea generator knowledge



Electrical installation/automation controls



A desire to work within Estimating
