Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Technical Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will

have a robust technical design background. You will be responsible for designing and developing

new products and improving existing ones. Your expertise in design software, FMEA, and process

knowledge will be essential to your success in this role.


Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new components using SolidWorks and CATIA software,

ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and customer

specifications.

• Conduct Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) using non-linear techniques to

identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Leads the development of customer programs from conception to production

before ownership of NPI

• Provides value-added engineering support to internal and external teams as

required, delivering support and design improvements

• Possess knowledge of manufacturing processes, including tooling and production

techniques, to optimise designs for manufacturability.

• Develop technical proposals for customers, clearly outlining product features,

validation and specifications.

• Conducted product qualification testing and prepared comprehensive reports,

including QTP (Qualification Test Plan) and QTR (Qualification Test Report).


Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A degree or high-level achievement in mechanical engineering or a related field.

• Experience in technical design.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks & CATIA design software.

• Knowledge of FMEA, particularly non-linear techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.


Good to have:

• Understanding polymer and rubber engineering, including compound selection and properties.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including tooling and production techniques.

• Experience in the aerospace industry.

• Experience with product qualification testing and reporting.
