Technical Manager – Design and Construction\n\nLocation: Liverpool\n\nContract: Permanent, 40 hours per week\n\nSalary: Competitive\n\nCompany Department Overview: Our Energy Division deliver the design, construction, maintenance of a portfolio of projects in both public and private sectors. Sectors include health, education, commercial mechanical and electrical, decarbonisation, and PV works. It includes project works and undertaking planned, preventative & reactive maintenance.\n\nPrimary Objective: The Technical Design Manager will lead a team of M&E designers and Sector Material Experts providing both pre and post contract support to the division and clients, including design and expert advice.\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n-The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to the following tasks:\n\n-Plan and deliver all design and advisory to internal and external stakeholders.\n\n-Manage technical resources within the Energy Division.\n\n-Manage appointed technical resources within and outside the organisation.\n\n-Develop and maintain competence and credibility.\n\n-Set and drive departmental KPI’s and challenge improvement.\n\n-Provide leadership, governance, and direction to ensure staff are kept safe, engaged, focused, developed, and delivering to their potential.\n\n-Contribute to the development of the energy division.\n\nRelationships: Effective candidates need to:\n\n-Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams.\n\n-Be able to work efficiently and effectively as part of a team.\n\n-Communicate effectively with all other departments.\n\nPerson Specification: To be successful in this role the Technical Manager will:\n\n-Technically competent, delivering relevant, compliant, and commercially acceptable technical solutions.\n\n-Understand the whole life project cycle.
