Technical Development Engineer

Sentec is a Swiss-American medical device company specializing in respiratory care. Since its founding in 1999 the company utilizes a deep-tech approach that is founded on advanced science and avant-garde technologies for respiratory patients across care areas. The goal is to support enduring change in clinical practice that reduces challenges of respiratory patients, improves healthcare outcomes, and alleviates cost. Sentec applies latest scientific results and engineering technologies across the three core platforms transcutaneous monitoring, intrapulmonary percussive ventilation and electrical impedance tomography. The company researches, develops and manufactures all products exclusively in-house. Key Tasks Design and execute experiments to answer key questions in product development Assemble and test sensor and consumable prototypes of new product designs Analyze data from experiments, and disseminate results to the team and management Proactively identify opportunities for improvement and innovation Document verification and validation test plans and results Provide support to team as subject matter expert in field of expertise Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues Your Profile MSc in technical field (engineering or science) 2+ years of experience in relevant, regulated industry Excellent attention to detail and ability to solve complex technical challenges Experience in data analysis tools and scripting languages (e.g. Matlab, Python, Origin) Self-driven and proactive, with a strong initiative Interest in growing into a project leader role Knowledge in CO2 sensing technologies is an advantage Very good command of English (spoken and written), conversational German is a plus Our offer Meaningful work on products that save lives or effectively support patient therapy Flat hierarchies, genuinely interdisciplinary working groups Opportunity to contribute ideas, have an active say and make decisions Policy for unsolicited applications from recruiters and recruitment agencies We do not accept any unsolicited applications from recruiters or recruitment agencies without a prior written agreement between both parties.
