Technical Manager\n\nRole Requirements:\n\n * \n\n The successful candidate must have experience of working in the facades industry\n\n * \n\n Ideally have experience of working with aluminium\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, building regulations and standards.\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of airtightness, weatherproofing, thermal & acoustic performance and interfaces between facades and structure.\n\n * \n\n Knowledge of building practices and key standards relating to our industry.\n\nRole Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Collaborate with designers to ensure construction issue drawings are technically complaint, in-line with system suppliers recommendations/test data and complaint with relevant building regulations / codes.\n\n * \n\n Implement / enhance current quality assurance processes to ensure that designs meet relevant standards and exceed client expectations.\n\n * \n\n Identify potential risks associated with façade designs and implement strategies / changes to mitigate effectively.\n\n * \n\n Collaborate with relevant internal departments to ensure compliance with façade consultant reports.\n\n * \n\n Offer technical support, knowledge, and guidance to internal departments.\n\n * \n\n Maintain a good knowledge of system supplier products, test data etc… and stay ahead of the curve by exploring and implementing the latest trends and technologies in façade designs.\n\n * \n\n Take an active role in internal pre-construction meetings.\n\n * \n\n Working as part of a team, help determine and implement ‘standard’ details to aid efficiency, buildability, cost etc…\n\n * \n\n Accompany designers to design team meetings, when required.\n\n * \n\n Provide guidance to factory personnel on bespoke/uncommon items.\n\n * \n\n Become familiar with our project’s internal programmes and the relevant milestone dates. Ensuring that as a team, relevant deadlines are met.\n\n * \n\n At times of high capacity, assist the design team by preparing drawings using Auto CAD. Seeking approval of drawings for procurement and manufacture in appropriate time for the factory to achieve start-on-site dates provided.\n\n * \n\n Manage sub-contract designers and structural engineers.\n\n * \n\n Bring your extensive knowledge of the facades industry to the table, providing valuable insights and solutions to complex design challenges.\n\n * \n\n Plan and monitor own workload against deadlines.\n\n * \n\n Identify potential bottlenecks and long lead items.\n\n * \n\n Provide and maintain high standards of presentation and communication (verbal and written).\n\n * \n\n Positive outlook with a ‘can-do’ attitude.\n\n * \n\n Maintain and help to build strong relationships with clients and suppliers as necessary.\n\n * \n\n Identify possible value engineering options either in simplifying design, utilising potential buying gains or standardising.\n\n * \n\n Be pro-active in sourcing answers and solutions to problems.\n\n * \n\n Work in line with company policies & procedures.\n\n * \n\n Lead-in-house testing requirements
