Technical Lab Manager – Testing & Calibration

Are you a hard science expert with a strong technical background and a knack for leadership? Do you thrive in a hands-on testing environment where precision and problem-solving are key? If so, we want you to take charge as our Technical Lab Manager.

This role is not just about managing a lab—it’s about driving innovation, ensuring accuracy, and leading technical operations that have real-world impact.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee Special Projects – From customer consultation to testing, ensure flawless execution and precise results.
• Lead Field Operations – Manage hurricane field clearance and conduct technical reviews for new work requests.
• Ensure Accuracy & Compliance – Maintain up-to-date operational procedures and workflow accuracy.
• Resolve Technical Issues – Identify root causes of non-conformances and implement long-term solutions.
• Support & Lead – Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Test Services team.

What You Bring (Must-Have)

✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Biology, or Chemistry
✔ Hands-on mechanical and technical lab experience
✔ Supervisory experience in a testing environment
✔ Expertise in in-house and external calibration
✔ Strong computer skills and technical proficiency
✔ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors for extended periods

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Microsoft Office Macro Development – Automate and streamline processes
• Experience with Data Logging Systems – Optimize test tracking and accuracy
• Familiarity with ISO 17025 Accreditation – Maintain industry standards and compliance
• Technical Customer Service Leadership – Handle orders, delivery, pricing, site tours, and quality assurance
