Technical Project Manager – for our Develop and Optimize organization!

Your challengesAs our new technical project manager you will be employed at our Østbirk location and report into Jens Kirkegaard Jakobsen, Manager (P&PE Manager). Here you will join a group of project managers, who run and support projects across several functions in VELUX and VELUX Commercial – with one aim: to make the best possible products for our end-customers. We are mainly dedicated to projects within new product launches, product development and product upgrades.As Technical Project Manager, you will:Lead technical projects in a stage gate environment: Plan, budget, risk management, leadership within projects.Handle communication of and within projects – written, graphically and spoken.Utilize your strong technical skills and insights to improve the outcome of the project.You should consider approximately 20 days of travelling per year, mainly within Europe.Your qualificationsIt is required that youBring a technical background, perhaps as a Product Developer.Have minimum 3 years of experience within a product development end-to-end environment.Bring relevant technical education e.g. Design Engineer, Machine Engineer or within Mechanical Engineering.Speak and write English fluently. It is a benefit if you speak and understand German as well, but it is not a requirement.It is seen as an advantage if you have already had experience driving smaller projects, however, you may also currently work as Product Developer or in a similar role, ready to take your first step in your Project Management career.As a person, you are a team player with a proactive and pragmatic approach to problem solving. You are able to interact with and effectively communicate to all levels of our organisation. At the same time, you are able to manage several tasks in parallel.You value working in a project-oriented culture where feedback and collaboration are crucial.
