Technical Sales Engineer

The role of a technical sales engineer:



* To generate own leads and take and deal with Conversion enquiries by telephone, email and web, etc., as necessary, working closely with the Conversions General Manager and Technical Sales Engineer to decide what appropriate action should be taken (Anticipated 2 new leads per week).



* To communicate appropriately with current and lapsed customers to maintain strong relationships and update the ‘CRM’ system in accordance with best Company practices and procedures.



* To provide support for the Sales department as required regarding Conversion type enquiries.



* To ensure timely and professional response to enquiries which will maximise our opportunity to supply to the customer.



* To maximise profitable sales and to follow each enquiry to its conclusion.



* To prepare and send quotations with some assistance from the Conversions General Manager and Technical Sales Engineer, follow up as necessary.



* To assist with management and administration of the Conversions enquiry pipeline.



* To co-ordinate all allocated projects, or parts thereof, efficiently and effectively through to their conclusion and ensure customer satisfaction, including those which require outsourcing to other suppliers which may necessitate on-site inspection and update visits.



* To carry out administration related to queries and orders, as necessary.



* To share knowledge and provide support regarding basic conversion work to the Sales team.



* To carry out any other duties if capable, as requested, e.g. supporting other staff positions either day to day or in holiday/absence situations.



* To always seek to increase knowledge about the business the Company carries out.



* To undertake any training as reasonably requested by the company
