Technical Sales Manager

The Role: The Technical Sales Manager role will be selling an innovative corrosion protection solution for concrete within buildings & structures which ultimately elongates their life and performance, thus making them much more reliable. This is done via a zinc anode technology which has a lifespan up to 50 years, a life saver for bridges, high-rise buildings, and other infrastructure which is susceptible to weathering whether it be from the likes of acid rain or wind etc. This solution is sold in multiple ways: firstly to end users such as Highways England who are looking to preserve their infrastructure; secondly, structural engineering firms working on behalf of contractors and building owners looking for such solutions; building surveying firms, again to help their clients; and through end contractors & installers. As such, no two days are the same in this highly varied, technical, and interesting sales role.

The Technical Sales Manager will be covering the South of the UK with a key focus on the South East. Your role will be split between 50% new business and 50% account management, inheriting a number of existing clients to get involved with and to expand. This is a field based role in which you will travel extensively, attend events, and pro-actively look to enhance your knowledge in the sector. This role will suit someone who is naturally inquisitive and has a technical mindset.

We are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Field sales background (min 2 years) in the construction sector
  • Ideally come with a technical education within construction
  • Have a growth mindset and are always looking to learn
  • Full & Clean Driving license
  • Comfortable with dealing with multiple customer base and different types of people

Salary: Up to £60,000 Basic Salary (depending on experience) + annual commission scheme (c. 20%), Employee Ownership share scheme, Company car allowance scheme, 25 days plus stats, generous pension contribution (8%), healthcare options, wider business employee benefits platform.
