We are looking for a Technical Training & Competence Manager for one of our clients with the following details:
Start: September 2024
Location: Basra, Iraq
Duration: 12 months, renewable
Scheme: Rotation (28/28)
Qualifications And Experience Required:
- Preferably previous work experience in operations or similar field.
- Good English and Arabic speaking and reading skills.
- Good understanding of technical training programs and competency assessment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to exchange with technical operations team.
- Ability to create organized schedules and reports.
Activities
- Identify training needs and contribute to the definition of training and development procedures and tools to develop employee competencies
- Guide managers and supervisors in competence assessment and development of their personnel
- Participate in the recruitment process of local employees to evaluate the competencies and potential development of the future new hires
- Work closely with managers and the Talent Developer in the preparation of the Personal Development Plan (PDP) of local hires
- Analyse the need for technical and soft-skill training in the company and prepare periodic training plans and programs for site and office personnel
- Prepare training matrices and implement mandatory HSE and technical training for employees, in particular new hires and secondees
- Organize and develop new training routines for growing and changing departments by implementing in-house learning tools using e-learning platforms such as LIZZY, etc
- Develop and oversee training programs and liaise with internal and external training service providers and institutes
- Supervise group and individual training courses with external and company training facilities and providers
- Implement measurement tools to assess improvements in employees' job performance
- Implement new training and development systems based on company methodology and know-how
- Supervise the implementation, participation and execution of training programs and prepare internal and external reports.
- Gather feedback from trainees and training facilities and conduct post course assessments, to recommend improvements to the learning process
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets for training and make submissions for future training or development needs.
- Ensure training data updating and prepare related statistics, KPIs, etc.
- Conduct research to identify specific staff training needs and propose development solutions to address the needs identified
