The intent of the role would be to cover training activities for the Sub-Saharan Region, either through delivery of training onsite Luanda and in any of the Regional locations if required.
 

As the Technical Training Instructor - Subsea, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating training programs - Technical instructor will design programs that meet organizational, and customer needs to prepare students for their careers. You will identify objectives and skills to teach, and create lesson plans, schedules, and assignments.
  • Preparing materials – The instructor will create training materials like presentations, worksheets, and teaching aids. They may also develop instructor materials like information materials and teaching plans.
  • Delivering training – As an instructor you will be responsible for leading training sessions, webinars, and workshops in groups or individually.  You will also conduct practical training utilizing workshop tools and equipment.
  • Evaluating training – The instructor will observe and evaluate training results to determine the effectiveness of the programs and make improvements. You may also track employee progress and success.
  • Maintaining records – The instructor will also be responsible for keeping records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness. You may also prepare and submit instructional records, reports, and grades.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a degree in Engineering/Technology.
  • Have the ability to organize pre-learning prior to attendance.
  • Be experienced in room set up to gain best learning experience and safety of students.
  • Have practical knowledge of tools encompassed with the ability to safely strip, build, and function tools.
  • Be able to use of training aids e.g. models, practical training tools.
  • Be able to lead job Safety Analysis (JSA) ability to draft and deliver ensuring safety of students.
  • Have the history of engagement with Health and Safety (H&S).
  • Have ability to interpret procedures/processes and present them in a digestible lesson.
  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, be self-motivated.
  • Have willingness and ability to travel to different countries.
  • Have knowledge and understanding of API Q1/API Q2 would be an advantage.
