We're looking for people like you to help make it happen.Job Summary:Under direction and general supervision, a Lab Tech sets up and operates test equipment and performs specific and routine tests; disassembles and assembles test samples; records technical data, writes reports, acts as assistant on complex or unusual tests under direction of senior personnel.Works with the other Lab Technicians or Certifiers in order to complete assigned projects within negotiated time and cost schedulesSets-up and operates all test equipment and performs all tests within a certain product area; determines compliance with requirements and recommends the granting of certification; carries out specialized testing when requiredPerforms the tests in accordance with work orders issued by jobholders; conducts routine tests independently; acts as an assistant in complex or unusual tests, under guidance from senior staff or job holder when performing one or more phases of the test work (i.e. re-examination and audits & investigation tests)Records technical data, and drafts test result reportsPerforms mathematical calculations required to summarize test results. Relates test results to product specification. Acts as a liaison with other departments as required by the managerAssembles and disassembles test samples, hooks-up laboratory test equipment in preparation for testing; operates most laboratory test equipmentNotes and records substandard features of products which may appear before or during the tests and refer them to manager or CertifierMaintains good housekeeping of tools, equipment and work area following tests and carry out assigned laboratory clean-up dutiesResponsible for maintaining quality and consistency of lab equipment :Technical Certificate or equivalent education and experienceAssociates degree in Engineering Technology ORKnowledge of a variety of standards, electrical codes; knowledge of electric and electronic circuits; troubleshooting electronic equipmentKnowledge of working with test and measurement instruments and equipment, such as: oscilloscope, power supplies, multi meters, power analyzers and chart recorders; operation of machines such as drills, table saw, band saw, bending machines would be a plusAbility to work independently and unsupervised, in a team-based work environmentMust be able to read engineering drawings and test dataMust have some knowledge of Laboratory instrumentation, including operating principles and calibration procedures, as well as general Laboratory procedureMust be team-oriented with good interpersonal skills and abilities to communicate effectively both orally and in writingMust be self-motivated and client-service orientedDemonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision for non-complex projects​Good organizational, time and project management skills to complete job tasks independently and in a time-efficient manner Balanced relationship between personal responsibility and teamworkInsights into one of the most modern test laboratories in Europe Fitness & Health Program for a relaxed balance to the daily work routineCompany pension plan and further training opportunitiesPermanent direct employment and a future-proof workplaceLease a BikeMore Corporate Benefits
