Test Engineer & Coordinator Role

At Siemens Magnet Technology in Eynsham, Oxfordshire we specialise in the design and manufacture of superconducting magnets for MRI scanners. We have an exciting opportunity to join our PLM team as a Test Engineer & Coordinator Role for Electromechanical Medical Equipment, this role forms a crucial part of the R&D Team for our product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute the testing activities for development projects.
To establish and maintain the general R&D testing processes including:
- Develop and execute hardware test plans for electromechanical medical equipment, including defining test cases and test procedures to comply with the regulatory and contractual requirements.
- Utilize advanced hardware testing equipment to perform functional, performance, and reliability tests.
- Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand design specifications, provide input for testability and schedule testing. Ability to coordinate and manage multiple testing activities simultaneously.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (or a related field) or appropriate industry experience and qualifications through a recognized Apprenticeship or similar.
- Proficient in functional and non-functional testing techniques and tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Experience in a technological or research environment, utilizing a broad range of technical and digital skills and methodologies would be highly beneficial and could include:
- Software Proficiency: - Utilize software tools such as LabVIEW to design and implement automated test systems. Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot test scripts and programs for automated testing processes.
- Data Analysis: - Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Generate comprehensive test reports and provide clear and concise documentation of test results.
