Tower Crane Electrician

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Install electrical wiring, circuits, and components in new tower cranes according to manufacturer specifications and site requirements. Connect electrical systems to power sources and test for proper functioning. Perform regular inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues. Diagnose and repair electrical problems, including faulty wiring, controls, motors, and lighting systems. Replace or repair electrical components as necessary to maintain crane operation. Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities. Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify electrical issues. Conduct safety inspections to ensure electrical systems meet industry standards and regulations. Participate in safety training sessions and ensure all safety protocols are followed during electrical maintenance activities. Install upgrades and modifications to electrical systems as needed to improve crane performance or meet new standards. Work with crane operators to understand issues and determine the best course of action. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a tower crane mechanic. Proven experience as an electrician, preferably with tower cranes or similar heavy equipment. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools and equipment. Strong understanding of electrical principles and safety standards. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals. Exposure to various weather conditions and construction site hazards. May involve working at heights and in confined spaces. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies related to electrical maintenance and crane operation.
