Cardiff, Wales\n£500 - £600 per day, CIS\nDuration: 8-10 months\nStart date: March 2025\nKey words: substation, power , renewable energy, civil works, cable & hsg47\nTurner Lovell are recruiting a TP137/SR163 Civil Site Manager, experienced working on projects from inception through to completion. The role is to lead on behalf of a key contractor for an extension of an existing substation for a BESS project \nThe ideal candidate will be able to work independently on high-profile schemes, drive safety standards, provide leadership to internal resources and demonstrate excellent communication skills to all key stakeholders. \nDuties:\n\nActing as the Principal Site Manager for the project\nManagement of site workers, subcontractors, and all general works on-site\nEnsuring Safety documentation (Construction Phase plans, QA plans - ITP's and Risk Assessments / Method Statements) are developed and enacted on site\nManage and provide QC inspection of subcontractors during different phases of the project.\nProvide support to senior Project Managers to monitor, track, and report progress of the team against project programme and budget.\nRequirements:\n\nCurrent authorisation to Grid TP 137.11 / SR163\nNSI, HSG47, 3-day first aid tickets and temporary works\nAt least 3 years experience in the construction of substations (or existing substation refurbishment/extension experience) up to 400kV and minimum 1-year experience as TP137/SR163\nExperience working as a TP137 site manager on projects with a civils value >£10-15m or an overall value of at least £40m\nHands on experience with construction methodologies\nKnowledge of NEC contracts & Health, Safety and Environment legislation\nIf you are looking for a challenge or long-term opportunity, with a growing organisation who are continuing to expand in the renewable energy and electricity transmission sector, please apply and send your CV to Marcus Horne - (url removed)
