Trainee Quantity Surveyor / Estimator

THE COMPANY M&E Design & Build Contractor who have been operating since 2006. Office Based in Hertfordshire. 20 Staff within the business across site based guys and office staff. Sectors they work in are: Healthcare, Residential, Commercial, Retail. Clients Include: Wates, Great Scotland Yard, Parkeray, Corley + Woolley, Overbury, Skanska, Concept Bespoke, AIS, ISG, BAM, Knight Harwood etc. Project Values range from £100k – £2,000,000.     THE ROLE – Trainee Quantity Surveyor / Estimator They are seeking a Trainee Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join the team. Monday – Friday / 8am – 5pm As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor / Estimator, you will be responsible for assisting in the measurement, costing and procurement of mechanical services for our construction projects. You will work closely with our experienced Quantity Surveyors & Estimators to ensure that all aspects of the M&E services are properly accounted for and accurately estimated.   Key Responsibilities: Assisting in the measurement and quantification of M&E services for construction projects. Assisting in the preparation of detailed bills of quantities for tendering purposes. Assisting in the procurement of M&E services, including the preparation of tender documentation and assessment of tenders. Liaising with contractors and suppliers to obtain quotes for M&E services. Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for M&E services. Assisting in the assessment and valuation of variations and claims for M&E services. Assisting in the preparation of monthly cost reports for M&E services.
