The Training Coordinator will be leading our training initiatives, ensuring our teams are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the commercial concrete construction industry. This role is pivotal in enhancing the quality, safety, and efficiency of our operations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Needs Assessment: Collaborate with department heads and field teams to identify current and future training needs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
2. Curriculum Development: Design, develop, and update training programs, modules, and materials. This includes both hands-on training and theoretical learning.
3. Training Coordination: Schedule and oversee training sessions, workshops, and seminars. This may involve coordinating with external trainers or consultants.
4. Training Delivery: Facilitate training sessions, ensuring content is understood and can be applied in a real-world setting.
5. Monitoring & Evaluation: Implement methods to evaluate the success of training programs, measuring retention, applicability, and improvement in job performance.
6. Mentorship Program: Develop and manage a mentorship program, pairing experienced professionals with newer team members.
7. Stay Updated: Remain abreast of the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices to incorporate them into training initiatives.
8. Feedback Mechanism: Create a system for receiving and addressing feedback from training participants.
9. Budget Management: Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective delivery of all training initiatives.
10. Continuous Improvement: Regularly review and refine training processes and materials for continual enhancement.
Education & Experience:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. Previous experience in a training or instructional design role. Experience in the construction industry is a plus.
3. Strong understanding of training methods and the latest educational techniques.
Other Competencies & Skills:
1. Proficiency in training software and tools, as well as MS Office.
2. Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners.
4. Analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of training programs.
5. Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
