Training Engineer (Mobile Systems and Control)

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire (With and international travel on occasions)

Salary: £40,967 - £44,757 (based on performance) per annum

The Centre is a world leader in the provision of specialist training relating to Hydraulics, Electro-Hydraulics, Electro-Pneumatics and Control. Their role is to support the “Learning and Development” of the UK Workforce and beyond.

The Role

The Training Engineer will take up the role of Course Manager/Lead Tutor and this role will involve delivering a range of Centre Based Technical Courses involving Mobile Hydraulic Systems and Control plus that of CETOP Competence Based Qualifications at Levels 1,2 and 3.

As a Training Engineer you will be developing as required new courses specifically to meet customer’s needs and play a role in developing the practical facilities at the Fluid Power Centre and associated practical training.

You will also be involved in the delivery and support role relating to a range of Hydraulic Courses, Electro- Hydraulics and Electro-Pneumatics. In all cases internal training will be provided and assessed by the NFPC Learning & Development Manager.

Skills and Qualifications

To be the successful candidates should have:

* Excellent experience involving the maintenance and management of Mobile Systems involving Hydraulics and Control

* A knowledge of current supply chains (Advantageous)

* An extensive range of practical skills relating to Planning, Installation, Commissioning, Testing, Fault Diagnosis and rectification

* Good communication skills

* Qualifications such as HNC/HND or CETOP Level 3 Competence Based relating to Mobile Hydraulics will be acceptable

You would be joining an existing team of Training Engineers all from UK Industry and you would be put through extensive internal training here at the NFPC by their Learning and Development Manager before taking up your front-line role. If you do not hold a CETOP Level 3 Qualification, this will be built into your personal development plan.

Your role will involve (Once you have been sufficiently trained);

* Delivering technical lectures across a range of levels including group practical training.

* Working closely with the NFPC Mobile Systems Manager in developing and managing the mobile practical training facilities embracing electronics and control

* Delivering and assessing CETOP Competence Based Qualifications

* With time, becoming a designated Course Manager/Lead Tutor

* Embracing the NFPC Quality Management System (QMS) within your role

Department Info

The role of Training Engineer reports directly to the NFPC Mobile Systems Manager. You will also support and work closely with other technical staff within the Centre and work closely with all colleagues.
