Transport Planner - Worsley - Permanent Role

Salary: £38,000-£41,000 PA (Depending on experience.)

Shift: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 17:30

Silver Arrow has a vacancy for a transport planner with a reputable, innovative transport & logistics group based in Worsley. In this fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to a diverse Customer base. The ability to think laterally and make sound decisions will be essential.

Your Role:

\n

\n
• Planning and allocation of nationwide deliveries.

\n

• Ensuring that the operation complies with all regulatory legislation and best practices.

\n

• Ensuring consistently reliable driver behaviour concerning safety, legality, efficiency and profitability.

\n

• Managing day-to-day issues of the remote driver workforce, including welfare and pastoral matters.

\n

• Dynamic evaluation of operational decisions is likely to affect group performance and Customer experience.

\n

• Daily liaison with line managers to identify operational exceptions and implement solutions.

\n

\n

What we need from you:

\n

\n
• CPC or Management CPC qualification

\n

• Proven experience in transport planning, logistics, or a related field.

\n

• Strong ability to analyse data and trends to optimize transport operations.

\n

• Excellent organizational skills to manage schedules, coordinate with stakeholders, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

\n

• Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.

\n

• Proficiency in transport planning software and tools.

\n

• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and demands in a dynamic environment.

\n
