Transport Planner - Felixstowe - Permanent Role

£30,000-£35,000 per annum

\n

\n

Monday to Friday, 08:30-17:00, 60-minute break

\n

\n

All candidates will be subject to a DBS check.

\n

\n

Silver Arrow are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to work for our client based in Felixstowe on a permanent basis. If you thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment then we want to hear from you.

Your Role:

\n

\n
• Haulage allocation and day to day management as required

\n

• Focal Point, both with internal and external customers

\n

• Complete all requirements and or offer alternative options to complete

\n

• Ensure all Haulage requirements are met by approved supplier

\n

• Adapt and consider alternative requirements as required

\n

• Balance Cost and Service requirements at all times

\n

• Key Accounts, sustain and develop key flow requirements and provide support to the Multimodal transport manager

\n

• Supplier KPI monitoring, complete and assist management

\n

• Develop relationships with all suppliers and focal points at Shipping Lines

\n

• Transport system development and assistance enhancing house systems to support

\n

\n

\n

What we need from you:

\n

\n
• Previous transport planning experience in a similar role

\n

• UK Haulage operation, FCL / LCL and warehousing operations

\n

• Intermodal and multiple ports operations

\n

• Good geographic and container inventory knowledge

\n

• Excellent planning and attention to detail

\n

• Excellent communication and influencing skills.

\n

• Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise - preferable)

\n

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules, including occasional overtime.

\n

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

\n

• Excellent planning and attention to detail

\n

• Proactive, team worker with excellent time management and organisation skills

\n

• Enthusiastic, flexible, and self-motivated

\n
