Transport Planner

Location: Nottingham

Industry: Transport & Logistics

Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 depending on level of experience


We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Transport Planner to join our client, a UK leading steel stockholder based in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating the daily routing of our client's fleet, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a fleet of 10 vehicles.
  • Address driver queries and provide support.
  • Plan jobs onto the transport planner throughout the day, focusing on consistent routing and handling last-minute orders.
  • Handle sales queries regarding delivery times.
  • Conduct loading checks and warehouse sweeps for non-loaded items.
  • Adapt to changes and plan efficiently under pressure.
  • Manually print delivery notes and manage paperwork.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and Commercial Director to ensure effective deliveries.


Requirements:

  • Strong geographical knowledge of UK is essential.
  • Strong background in transport planning.
  • Organised and able to handle high-pressure situations.


Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday, 09:30-17:30.
  • 28 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
