Trust & Estate Planning Associate – Dallas

Direct Counsel is seeking a Trust & Estate Planning Associate to join a highly regarded Estate Planning Practice Group in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level associate to work on sophisticated estate planning, trust administration, and wealth management matters for high-net-worth individuals, businesses, and charitable organizations.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and wealth transfer strategies
• Strong background in:
  • Drafting complex estate plans and business succession planning documents
  • Charitable giving and tax-exempt organization planning
  • Estate, gift, and -skipping tax planning
  • Probate proceedings for taxable and non-taxable estates
  • Federal gift and estate tax returns
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or a graduate degree in Tax
• Strong drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills
• JD from an ABA-approved law school and active Texas Bar membership (or willingness to obtain timely admission)
