UTILITY ROAD WORKS ENGINEER

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:The purpose of the job of a Utility and Road Works Engineer is to ensure the successful design coordination and execution of road infrastructure and utility systems within a construction or development project. The role bridges technical expertise and project management to meet safety, quality, regulatory, and client expectations.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Review and validate engineering designs and drawings for road and utility systems.Ensure designs are compliant with UAE regulations, codes, and project specifications.Assist in planning construction phases to align with project schedules.Oversee and monitor onsite activities related to road construction and utility installations (e.g. drainage, sewerage, water supply, electrical, and telecom systems).Conduct site inspections to ensure work is executed according to approved designs and standards.Provide technical guidance to construction teams to resolve issues during execution.Ensure all construction materials and methodologies meet quality standards.Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental guidelines.Coordinate with local authorities for required permits and approvals.Liaise with project managers, consultants, contractors, and utility providers for seamless project execution.Communicate progress, challenges, and resolutions effectively to stakeholders.Maintain accurate records of site inspections, approvals, and daily activities.Prepare progress reports and as-built documentation for submission to clients or authorities.Identify potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate delays or cost overruns.Resolve technical issues and adapt plans to address unforeseen challenges.KEY QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.Advanced degrees such as a Master's in Civil or Transportation Engineering may be preferred for senior roles.At least 5 years of relevant experience in utility and roadworks projects.Experience in road construction, utility installations, and urban infrastructure projects is highly valued.Must have UAE work experience.Can join immediately.VERTICAL: ENGINEERING #J-18808-Ljbffr
