Due to the increasing demand of Electrification, QDSL is building a new team exclusive focused on CAE activities for Automotive Powertrain Electrification for Sub-Component / Component / Product within the Automotive domain. Key Responsibilities

· Conduct CAE Assessments in line with project scope & delivery timelines.

· Implement incremental model improvements.

· Responsible for Energy management development (CO2 emissions, range, driving performance, efficiency) and coordination of operational strategy in vehicle projects

· Definition and validation of powertrain systems in the complete vehicle to reach the targets of CO2 emission, range, driving performance and drivability of alternative powertrain systems

· Conduct powertrain performance & efficiency CAE Analysis, summarise result & feedback within relevant teams.

· Coordination of operating strategy for driving dynamics, drivetrain, thermal operation, charging and energy management.

· Elaborating required measures to reach the targets in cooperation with the other domains

· Apply strong automotive knowledge to verify the input data validation & while evaluating results.

· Present the results in relevant forums and Co-ordinate with all stakeholders.

· Ensure the Project documentation is maintained and managed. Seeking future trends

· Support the continuous development of tools & techniques to enhance the capability, improve quality & robustness of virtual tools.

· Undertake any other work as directed by the line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.

· Develop standard methods, trainings and methodologies and ensure implementation within organization for competence development. Share lessons learnt and develop best practice guidelines.

 

Skills Knowledge and Experience

· Degree or similar qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering or a related subject

· Strong understanding of CAE Based simulation tools.

· Proven ability to identify and implement tool and process improvements.

· Competent user of implicit & Explicit software and associated pre & post processing packages, Preferred: Matlab & Simulink.

· Methodical & disciplined approach to data management

· Desirable Skills:

· Automotive electrification (BEV) CAE experience

· Experience of working in Agile Framework

· Competent user of Jira

· Able to communicate effectively, work flexibly in a multi-disciplinary team and on own initiative.
