Job Description

Our client who is a leading automotive specialist is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to be based in Bishops Stortford.

The Company:

• Operating for over 12 years, the business offers MOT’s, Servicing, Cambelts, Brakes, Diagnostics, Repairs and more
• An expanding Automotive specialist with multiple garages across Essex and Hertfordshire region

On Offer:

• This is a Monday to Friday role, with NO working weekends or bank holidays
• Competitive Salary based on skills and experience
• Free onsite parking
• 22 Days holiday + bank holidays
• Working hours are 40 per week – Monday – Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm with 1hr lunch
• No productivity targets

Main Purpose of the Vehicle Technician :

• The Vehicle Technician will work with main dealer/factory equipment and access to all technical information, diagnosing and working on vehicles in a clean and comfortable environment.
• Complete work orders including details of repairs completed, parts required and labour to be charged
• Test vehicles using measuring devices to provide accurate diagnostic reports
• Conduct routine service work on vehicles brought into the workshop
• Remove and install vehicle components in accordance with the manufacturer’s methodology
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify areas of concern
• Perform technical repair work in accordance with established and documented procedures
• Ensure correct materials, tools and measuring devices are used

To Be Considered:

• Minimum first year qualified in vehicle mechanics
• Proven experience working as a Vehicle Technician
• Passion for the automotive industry
