About the Role


The Company is seeking a Vice President for Commercial Solar Projects Underwriting to lead the underwriting of commercial solar project loans. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, soundness, and risk management of the solar portfolio, conducting comprehensive credit and financial analyses, and collaborating with various teams to build customer relationships and evaluate projects. This role also involves managing the underwriting team, overseeing portfolio reviews, and presenting credit memoranda to the Executive Leadership Team. The VP will be focused on identifying and mitigating risks, contributing to project compliance and performance reports, and may assist in other areas of the commercial lending team as needed. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, with at least 7 years of experience in commercial credit analysis and underwriting, and a minimum of 5 years in underwriting solar and/or renewable energy transactions. A strong background in credit and financial analysis, as well as management experience, is required. The role demands a candidate with excellent communication skills, the ability to travel, and a proven track record in commercial solar lending. The VP will be expected to stay informed about industry trends, ensure compliance with regulations, and lead special projects as assigned. qualifications include experience with specific financial analysis tools, and the candidate should be adept at problem-solving and decision-making within the organization.
