For more information: .Your roleAirbus Defense and Space operates one of the best in class satellite constellation. The images acquired by the satellites are processed by a processing suite developed in house. It produces a large set of products from the raw imagery to highly elaborated analytics.Since several years, Airbus develops and offers satellite complementary Geospatial solutions, such as HAPS (High Altitude Platform Stations). HAPS are stratospheric, solar electric, UAS that provide persistence, accuracy and increased imagery and live video resolution.Airbus GeoTech is the company in charge of ensuring the development, acceptance, test, manufcaturing and operations of the Airbus HAPS Earth Observation payload. In addition, Airbus GeoTech is an imagery and 2D/3D Mapping expert.The candidate, an integral part of the Geospatial Solutions team, will collaborate with the Airbus Geospatial R&D team who will perform researches and developments on satellite images and 2D/3D mapping, to create new processing, analytics and services for OneAtlas, the Airbus Geospatial customer library, and to improve and automatize imagery mapping processes. He/She will work in a startup spirit mode, be passionate by satellite imagery, Earth Observation, Machine Learning, mathematics and computer science. He/She should be opened to new cloud technologies such as machine learning, analytics, big data... He/She should look for developing new innovative applications in close collaboration with the business. A focus will be made on developing new 3D technologies. As most of the image processing will be based on machine learning technics, he/she should be experienced in developing deep learning technologies for Earth Observation.The candidate will also support the HAPS team. As part of this assignement the candidate could support the operations of the Earth Observation mission system in customer missions (international travel might be required), join some of the ongoing developments for the next generation payload systems, identify and define synergies with partners, develop end applications for customers and integrate the Earth Observation ground system to end customer systems and infrastructure.Curious and passionate, he / she knows how to look for information and remain at the state of the art in a highly evolving technical landscape. Autonomous, he / she is able to take in charge researches themes, to discuss the objectives with the different actors, and to bring it to an end in coherence with the operational imperatives of the company.Finally, with good communication skills including English, he / she will interact with support teams and internal or external clients / partners.
