Warehouse Associate/Tool & Inventory Specialist

We are seeking a reliable, organized, and proactive Warehouse Associate / Tool & Inventory Specialist to support our electrical contracting business. In this role, you will maintain and organize our warehouse, manage inventory, ensure tools and materials are readily available, and handle regional pickups and deliveries. Forklift operation and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs are required. A clean driving record is essential, as you will frequently transport tools and materials to jobsites.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Tool Management
- Receive, check, and accurately record incoming tools, materials, and supplies.
- Keep track of stock levels using inventory management systems/software.
- Maintain an organized and clean warehouse layout to ensure quick and easy access to tools and materials.
- Coordinate routine inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment.
- Shipping & Receiving
- Prepare, package, and ship materials and equipment to jobsites or other locations as needed.
- Verify shipment contents, perform quality checks, and document any discrepancies.
- Logistics & Delivery
- Operate a company vehicle and forklift to load, unload, and transport tools and materials.
- Drive to local and regional jobsites or vendor locations for pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure timely delivery of tools and materials to meet jobsite start times, occasionally starting work early as needed.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA regulations, including safe forklift operation.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, receipts, and inventory.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of materials, especially any hazardous items.
- General Support
- Assist with general warehouse upkeep, cleaning, and organization.
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams to meet their tool and material needs.
Qualifications
- Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Experience operating a forklift (certification or ability to obtain).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work early shifts as needed to facilitate timely deliveries.

- Previous experience in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory management.
- Familiarity with electrical tools and materials (helpful but not required).
- Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
Working Conditions
- This position requires frequent lifting, bending, and standing in a warehouse environment.
- Travel may be required within the region to deliver or pick up materials and tools.
- Must adhere to safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE and safe forklift operations.
