Warehouse Logistics and Production Coordinator

Location: Oxnard, CA
Salary: $50,000 - $80,000/year (DOE)
Position Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, On-Site

A food distribution company committed to delivering exceptional products to their customers. They are seeking a motivated, organized individual to join their team as a warehouse logistics and production coordinator, who will play a key role in maintaining the efficiency of the warehouse, logistics, and production processes.

The Warehouse Logistics and Production Coordinator will manage and streamline daily operations across warehouse logistics and production. This includes organizing shipments, optimizing logistics to fulfill customer needs, and ensuring production requirements are met. Working closely with the inventory planner and warehouse manager, this role is vital to supporting a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience with warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare shipping documents such as packing slips and bills of lading.
• Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, ensuring the best rates.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing timely updates to relevant parties.
• Assist in developing and managing material requirements to align with production schedules and minimize inventory costs.
• Collaborate with production, purchasing, and management teams to ensure material availability meets production demands.
• Monitor production schedules, adjusting as needed to respond to changes or issues.
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline material flow and reduce waste.
• Conduct inspections of outgoing shipments to verify they meet quality standards.
• Address and resolve any issues with product quality or quantity discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience with FishBowl is a must
• Experience in certified environments, preferably in the food industry (GMP, BRC-certified facilities).
• Proficiency with inventory and shipping software.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical ability to lift and move packages as needed.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
