Overview:
TRC is seeking Wastewater/Civil Engineer to join our growing engineering group in Greenville, South Carolina. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and experience in the permitting and design of wastewater and/or industrial and municipal engineering projects. Our engineering staff provide support for permitting and design of a wide variety of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and public sector/private clients. The position focuses on a candidate with the ability to work independently or in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, analytical, and professional judgment.
Responsibilities:
Regulatory applicability assessments, prepare permit applications, and assisting in the negotiating of permits.
Completing engineering calculations (e., for wastewater treatment and permitting).
Interpreting data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to regulations to ensure compliance.
Preparing summary reports, technical memoranda and email correspondence.
Assist in the preparation of proposals and estimates for various projects.
Assist in the management of projects and support other project managers to include budgets, schedules, and client relations.
May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously.
Implementing TRC's safety, quality, and project management programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET‑accredited program.
5+ years of engineering consulting or permitting experience.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain within 2 years.
Background should include project work and process knowledge of water/wastewater facilities projects with industrial or municipal wastewater treatment and sewer conveyance.
General familiarity or experience with federal, state, and municipal wastewater construction and discharge regulations.
General knowledge of water chemistry and biological treatment as it relates to wastewater.
Strong technical writing skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Possession of a valid driver's license. The position may require moderate local and regional travel up to 20% of the time.
Working knowledge of health and safety practices.
Ability to pass a background check, drug screen and OSHA physical.
Highly Desired Not Required:
Professional licensure (P.E.).
Project management experience.
Master of Science degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Experience in industrial settings.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
