Purpose of the Role The role of Water and Wastewater Engineer involves preparing due diligence and engineering reports, designing, and delivering engineering projects. This position also includes managing environmental projects, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Project Management : Plan, design, document, and deliver projects involving stormwater quality and quantity assessments, hydraulic and hydrologic modelling, potable water treatment, wastewater collection, treatment, and recycling. Technical Delivery : Prepare proposals, project reports, and contracts; conduct field inspections and assessments; and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards. Client Engagement : Build and maintain strong client relationships, liaise with approval authorities, and prepare fee proposals. Collaboration : Partner with colleagues and dynamic leadership teams to foster business development opportunities and ensure project success. What we are looking for: 5–10 years of experience in the water and/or wastewater industry within a consulting environment. A relevant degree in Civil, Environmental, or Process Engineering. Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, 12D Solutions, PC Sewer, PC Drain, and Microsoft Office programs. Strong technical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail. Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities. Knowledge of relevant engineering legislation, standards, and principles.
