Water Distribution Field Technician 1

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionThis position is an unsupervised journeyman level position that works independently or in crews to facilitate repairs and maintenance on water distribution, treatment systems, and meters. 

Requirements: 

·         D1 Certificate issued by the State of California Department of Health Services D2,T2 is desirable.·         Ability to perform heavy manual labor·         Must be insurable and bondable·         Ability to communicate instructions both orally and through writing·         Acceptable computer and typing skills·         Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent ·         Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug-testing·         Provide valid California Driver’s License Class “C” ·         Proof of US citizenship 

Duties: 

·         Assist in the improvement, maintenance, and repair of water mains, metering service, fire hydrants, etc.·         Assist in the operation of power-driven equipment·         Perform “Pump Duty” on evenings, weekends, and holidays·         Respond to all Company emergencies·         Other duties as assigned
