Job Description

AECOM is looking for a Water Resources Engineer II in our Chelmsford, MA office. The successful candidate will provide technical expertise and specialized consulting advice in water resources and natural systems including but not limited to hydrology and hydraulics, hydrogeology and groundwater modeling, coastal hydrodynamics, sediment transport and water quantity/quality evaluation in support of various environment and water resource projects. Past experience with surface and groundwater models such as HEC-HAS, SWMM, HEC-HMS, MODFLOW, is a plus.

The ideal candidate will be able to perform design projects on stormwater BMPs and site design, as well as knowledge with NPDES discharge as well as land disturbance permits are highly preferred. Successful candidates need to show strong GIS and CAD Civil3D skills, and technical writing. Knowledge in numerical methods, statistical analysis, and programming are desired. The ideal candidate will work productively in a collaborative team environment, and demonstrate growth potential as well as a desire to learn.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid U.S Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review

  • EIT Required

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in Water Resources Management at a consulting firm.

  • OSHA 40-hr Hazardous Training HAZWOPER

  • Strong understanding of components related to Federal and Local laws

  • Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (MA locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000.
