Water Resources Project Manager

  • Produce H&H technical reports, models and studies for both Municipal and Private Sector clients. Models may include 1D/2D Unsteady/Steady State, as well as various Hydrologic methods (i.e., SCS, Snyder, Mod Puls, Kinematic Wave, etc.).
  • Attend meetings and prepare presentation materials.
  • Review technical H&H studies, plans and calculations, which may include reviews under Municipal technical review contracts.
  • Prepare full construction plans for drainage projects including ancillary design of grading, roadway and utilities, as well as associated details.
  • Design of special drainage details and schematics.
  • Prepare Letter of Map Change Requests including LOMR/A, CLOMR/A and supporting Engineering for Elevation Certificates.
  • Design of stormwater control facilities, as well as urban flood control such as detention ponds, culverts, weirs, bypass systems and open channels.
  • Prepare GIS databases and work with GIS systems.
  • Plan, schedule, conduct and coordinate assigned engineering work, as well as monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and standards.
  • Coordinate permitting, bidding and construction phase services.
  • Train and teach others by identifying educational needs and communicating training needs to management.
  • Assist in preparing project scope, schedules and budgets.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Applicant must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
  • 4+ years’ experience practicing Civil Engineering in the field of Water Resources specializing in Hydraulic and Hydrologic Engineering.
  • 1+ years’ experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or ArcGIS Pro.
  • Proficient with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
  • Knowledge and/or proficiency in stream geomorphology, meteorology and water quality.
  • Proficient in Hydrology and Hydraulics.
  • Proficient in technical writing.
  • Proficient in technical design.
  • Understanding of project schedules and budgets.
  • Responsible charge of signing and sealing projects.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors, peers, subordinates, clients, etc., including collaborating across multiple market sector teams.
  • Self-motivated and deadline driven with strong time-management skills.
