Job Title: Water Treatment & Equipment Maintenance Technician
Location: JFK Airport (Daily), LaGuardia Airport (1-2 Visits per Week), Queens, Long Island (Occasional)

Our growing company is seeking an energetic, reliable, and flexible Water Treatment & Equipment Maintenance Technician to operate and maintain critical water treatment systems and petroleum storage facility equipment, primarily at JFK, and occasionally at other locations in New York City and Long Island. This is a hands-on position that combines independent work with occasional team collaboration, providing a perfect balance for someone who thrives in both autonomous and team-based environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Water Treatment Systems Operation & Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, data collection, sampling, repairs, and maintenance on water treatment systems, ensuring they meet all regulatory and operational standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot equipment at petroleum storage facilities, including pumps, blowers, compressors, motorized valves, electric motors, and instrumentation.
- Fieldwork & Problem-Solving: Travel to various sites, including JFK, LaGuardia, and other Queens/Long Island locations, to perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, and system upgrades.
- Physical & Hands-On Work: Carry out tasks that may require lifting, climbing, and working in challenging environments, such as confined spaces or outdoor conditions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Keep detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Collaboration with the Owner: You will have the unique opportunity to work directly with the owner of the company, benefiting from their mentorship and guidance as you grow within your role.

- Mechanical Aptitude: You’re comfortable working with tools and equipment and have experience or a strong interest in learning about mechanical systems.
