Summary


Sambatek is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing team. You will join a talented group that is completing exciting and challenging projects for a wide range of clients. The team has built significant momentum across a variety of services and project types. We are looking for the right person to increase our experience and capacity, so we can capitalize on our strong momentum.

  • Work Location: In-office for initial training period, hybrid option post training
  • Pay: Salary (Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications)

Responsibilities

  • Support both municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects
  • Develop construction documents, specifications, technical reports, and memos
  • Collaborate with colleagues in meeting project goals and deadlines
  • Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements
  • Support successful management of scope, schedule, and budget for all projects
  • Comply with and helps the enforcement of company standards, policies, and procedures
  • Provide support with project proposals and client management
  • Travel as required for project meetings, client meetings, or to construction sites
  • Assist in coordination of plan review and approvals with municipal and regulatory agencies
  • Provide on-going communication with the client related to the project and tasks
  • Establish goals for the projects and tasks, and assist with achievement of QA/QC goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering related to municipal and/or industrial systems
  • Demonstrated strengths in self-motivation, communication (verbal and written), leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently or collaboratively, to manage multiple tasks on multiple projects with strong attention to detail

Qualifications

  • Experience in mechanical, chemical, and biological water and wastewater process improvements
  • Project experience in municipal and/or industrial infrastructure design and construction observation/inspection
  • Strong technical skills in analysis and design related to water and wastewater engineering, including the ability to evaluate existing systems for deficiencies, provide recommendations, and prepare engineering reports and cost estimates
  • Medium to large diameter infrastructure experience involving sewers, watermains, pumping stations, and water storage systems
  • Experience working with diverse multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience independently managing project tasks, deliverables, and timelines
  • Experience with project bidding and construction administration, including RFIs, payment applications, and change management
  • Experience in leading or participating in design and construction meetings
  • Experience managing and mentoring junior staff and technicians


Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Work is primarily performed in an office environment
  • Ability to occasionally move equipment/objects weighing up to 10 pounds
