Welder

My Middlesbrough based client is currently for an experienced Welder to join their team. The succesful candidate will be joining an established group orking on pipe sections for the oil and gas industry. Experience with TIG and MMA welding is essential to a 6G standard.



DETAILS



* Be time served with an NVQ level 3 in welding and fabrication, or equivalent.



* Experienced in TIG, MMA essential and capable of welding 6G.



* Proven experience in fabrication working to detailed drawings.



* Be familiar with a wide range of materials including Non-Ferrous, Aluminium, Alloy Steel, Stainless Steel, Inconel, and Titanium.



* Demonstrate adherence to daily quality controls to ensure right first time towards welding activities that include 100% Radiographic Testing (RT), Non Destructive Testing (NDT) and visual examination.



* Have a can-do attitude and work well with others in a team environment.



* Be flexible in your approach - willing to work overtime when required to suit customer requirements.



* Be willing to increase your knowledge and train on other machining processes.



* Be willing to pass on your knowledge and train others.



A weld test consisting of 6” Carbon steel pipe with Inconel 625 internal inlay, using TIG (root) and MMA (fill and cap) in 6G position that will be subjected to RT and additional inspection activities.



Hours of work:



38 hours basic per week; Monday to Thursday 0730 to 1600 with 30 minute lunch, Fridays 0730 to 1330



Salary:



£18.14p/hr to £20.41p/hr depending upon skillset and experience + Pension + EAP.



Holidays: 25 days per calendar year + statutory bank holiday
