The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in welding, particularly with Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques and will be responsible for joining metal components to meet precise specifications and high-quality standards. The candidate must be capable of setting up and operating TIG welding equipment with precision, ensuring safe practices are maintained at all times. Key Responsibilities Use Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding techniques to join metal components, primarily stainless steel and other alloys, ensuring quality welds that meet customer specifications. Prepare materials and equipment, including cleaning surfaces, selecting appropriate filler materials, and adjusting welding equipment to project requirements. Inspect completed welds to verify they meet specifications, maintain cleanliness, and pass inspection tests. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine the appropriate welding techniques and materials. Follow all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials. Maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Collaborate with the production team and management to meet deadlines, improve processes, and maintain high-quality output. Suggest and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and quality. Assist in the development and testing of new welding schedules and procedures. Perform other duties as needed Knowledge & Skills Ability to focus on precise welding specifications to ensure quality welds. Able to troubleshoot welding issues and propose solutions to improve quality and efficiency. Able to collaborate effectively with other team members and departments. Willingness to learn new techniques and adapt to changes in the manufacturing process. Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors and team members regarding progress, concerns, or requirements. Proficient in reading and following ASME welding procedures. Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings. Capable of safely using basic hand and electric shop tools. Basic computer skills are required. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a formal welding apprenticeship or technical program is . 3 years of experience as a welder, with a strong focus on Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding. Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sectors is highly . Proficiency in reading technical drawings and welding symbols; strong knowledge of welding techniques, including Tig, MIG, and Stick. Certified Welder (, but not required). Additional certifications in welding processes are a plus.
