Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, specializing in welding steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components based on blueprints and technical drawings. The ideal candidate needs to have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and will ensure high-quality fabrication that meets industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to determine project specifications.

· Perform welding operations using MIG and TIG on steel, aluminum and stainless-steel types of material like channel, tubing, flat plate, and angle.

  • Cut, grind, and prepare metal components for welding using hand tools and power tools.
  • Set up own fabrications using clamps, jigs, and other fixtures to help achieve levelness, straightness, and correct measurements for each piece getting welded per blueprint.
  • Set up welding equipment and adjust settings to achieve precise welds.
  • Inspect welded joints for accuracy, strength, and potential defects.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with engineers, fabricators, and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Operate forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report any issues to supervisors
  • Flexible in their responsibilities. Cutting up raw materials, building crates, and building maintenance.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in welding steel and stainless steel, preferably in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and welding symbols.
  • Strong knowledge of MIG and TIG.
  • Ability to use measuring tools, grinders, saws, and other metalworking equipment.
  • Understanding safety regulations and best practices in welding.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds.
  • Certification in welding (AWS, ASME, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials.

Company DescriptionCoast Controls, Inc. established in 1992 is located between Sarasota and Bradenton, FL in a very clean and safe manufacturing facility that is fully air conditioned and operates only one shift with 10 hour work days and only 4 days per week. Occasional Fridays for time and a half pay.
