Key Responsibilities:

  • Welding Operations: Perform welding tasks using techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding to assemble and repair metal parts and structures.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to determine welding requirements and specifications.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cutting, shaping, and cleaning metal components to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments as needed.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as required.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including fabricators and engineers, to complete projects efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience as a welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is .
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick); ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Certifications: Welding certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in all welding tasks.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with team members.
