About the Role:

We are hiring a skilled Welder to join the 1st shift team at a manufacturing facility in Northvale, NJ. This role focuses on welding and fabricating stainless steel and other metals, particularly for food processing equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in sanitary welding practices and be comfortable working in a food-grade environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weld and fabricate parts using MIG, TIG, and stick welding, with a strong focus on sanitary welding for stainless steel.

• Read and follow blueprints, schematics, and welding instructions to complete work accurately.

• Repair and maintain food processing equipment like tanks, piping, conveyors, and machinery.

• Follow sanitary guidelines and safety standards required in food production settings.

• Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.

• Perform preventive maintenance on welding tools and machines.

• Follow all company safety rules, including GMP, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), and hazardous materials procedures.

• Keep your workspace clean and organized.

• Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and facilities teams to complete welding projects efficiently.

• Document all work including welding and repair tasks accurately.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Welder, preferably in food processing or another sanitary environment.

• Skilled in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.

• Strong understanding of stainless steel welding and fabrication methods.

• Ability to read and understand technical blueprints and schematics.

• Knowledge of sanitary welding standards and regulations.

• Able to use welding tools and equipment safely and correctly.

• Great attention to quality and detail.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Able to work independently or with a team to complete jobs.

• Welding certifications are a plus.

• Experience with food-grade materials and equipment is a bonus.
