Welder/Brazer (Aerospace) – 2nd Shift

Shift: Monday – Friday, 3:30 PM – 11:30 PM

Pay: Based on Experience (BOE)

Jenks, Ok


We are seeking a dedicated Welding Assistant to join our aerospace manufacturing team. This position will support welding and brazing operations to ensure the production of high-quality aerospace components. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding techniques, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to precision and safety.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in welding and brazing operations, ensuring adherence to aerospace industry standards.
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment, including MIG and brazing tools.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
  • Perform quality checks to verify weld integrity and compliance with specifications.
  • Handle metal components, fixtures, and assemblies safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in material preparation, cleaning, and post-weld finishing.
  • Follow all company safety protocols and industry regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with the welding team to meet production goals.


Qualifications:

  • Previous welding and/or brazing experience , particularly in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
  • Basic knowledge of welding processes such as TIG, MIG, and brazing techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work 2nd shift (3:30 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday – Friday).

Skills:

Experience with aluminum, stainless steel, or other aerospace-grade materials.

* Use hand-welding, flame-cutting, hand-soldering, or brazing equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
* Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.
* Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
